Programs for Graduate Students
- Academic Career Development Program
This program was designed to facilitate the academic career development of students who foster the multi-faceted diversity of graduate education at the University of California, and who show potential to become excellent faculty or researchers in institutions of higher education.
- Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)
AGEP is a partnership among the ten UC campuses and the National Science Foundation (NSF), with the goal of tripling the number of underrepresented minority students who earn doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
- Dissertation-Year Fellowship Program
This program provides support to outstanding Ph.D. candidates during their dissertation year. Doctoral candidates receive faculty mentorship, information and advice to students as they prepare to become postdoctoral fellows or candidates for faculty positions. Each year, 52 Fellows are selected competitively by the Graduate Divisions of the UC campuses.
