UC Merced transfer advisers provide assistance with academic planning, admissions, financial aid and any other questions that students may have regarding transferring to UC Merced. Advisers schedule visits to community colleges throughout the central San Joaquin Valley to meet with students individually and in groups to discuss transfer opportunities.

Transfer Admission Guarantee
UC Merced recognizes that beginning a postsecondary education at a California community college is a viable path to a UCM degree. As participants in UC Merced’s Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, students will receive a contract specifying the courses that are required to guarantee admission to their chosen major. TAG students will also receive individualized academic advising from a UCM transfer adviser.
