John
Hotchkis is the founder, chairman, and CEO of
Ramajal, LLC, an investment management firm specializing
in taxable accounts. Prior to this, he was co-founder
and chairman of Hotchkis and Wiley, a manager
of tax-exempt funds. Mr. Hotchkis received his
bachelor's degree from the University of California,
Berkeley and his MBA from University of California,
Los Angeles. He served as one of four co-chairman
of the $1.1 billion Capital Campaign for the University
of California, Berkeley. He is a former member
of the Los Angeles Olympic Citizens Advisory Commission
for the 1984 Olympics. He was appointed by President
Nixon to serve as an arbitrator of the International
Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and
was appointed by President Reagan to the Advisory
Committee of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
Mr Hotchkis serves on numberous civic and cultural
boards, including the Los Angeles World Affairs
Council and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.
Mr. Hotchkis was appointed as a Regent in March
2008 by Governor Schwarzenegger to a term ending
in 2009.
