Bonnie
Reiss serves as operating advisor to Pegasus Capital
Advisors, a private equity firm that is currently
pursuing opportunities for sustainable solutions
across several industries and emerging markets.
Ms. Reiss received her BBA degree from the University
of Miami and a law degree from Antioch Law School.
Ms. Reiss' career began in entertainment and public
policy law during the 1980's when she had her
own law practice. She co-founded the Hollywood
Women's Political Committee in 1981. She served
as President of the Earth Communications Office
from 1988 to 1992, where she collaborated with
entertainment industry leaders and environmental
experts to promote environmental causes. Ms. Reiss
produced the opening ceremony of President Clinton's
inauguration in 1992 and the first Annual Women's
Health Conference in 1996. She served as Senior
Advisor to Governor Schwarzenegger from 2003 to
2007. In that role, she was involved in all policy,
budget, legislative and strategic planning, and
was point person on education, environment, and
women's issues, in addition to public safety and
children's health. She also acted as the liaison
to the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness
and Sports, and served on the State Board of Education.
She was President of After-School All-Stars and
launched Arnold's All-Stars, a pilot after-school
program in California, and continues to serve
on their board of directors. She is currently
on the Board of Directors of The California Dream
Team, and Maria Shriver’s "California
Conference on Women and Family."
Ms. Reiss was appointed as a Regent in March 2008
by Governor Schwarzenegger to a term ending in
2020.
