Regent David Shewmake

David Shewmake, Ph.D. is a consultant in the area of healthcare information technology and biomedical informatics. During his career he has been involved in senior management for several early stage companies. As President of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Alumni Association and Secretary of the Alumni Associations of the University of California he served as Regent-designate beginning July 1, 2007 for a one year term. He now serves as President of the Alumni Associations of the University of California and ex-officio Regent for a one year term beginning July 1, 2008. Dr. Shewmake received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. in Medical Information Science from UCSF.
