This dashboard displays the city of practice of currently-licensed graduates of UC health professional schools, and former residents at UC medical facilities, since 1999. Unlicensed graduates and residents, as well as those practicing outside the state, are excluded. The background map displays color-coded residential population density by Census tract. Student and license records are matched (with >95% license coverage) by first, middle, and last name and by alma mater and graduation year, allowing for spelling differences and marriage-related name changes. Residents are matched to licensing records by first, middle, and last name as well as expected year of graduation, allowing for spelling differences and marriage-related name changes, but some residents whose names changed following their residency may be omitted.
