Not only are UC campuses among the best public universities in the country, they also are top commuter colleges, according to two new rankings.
UCLA, UC Berkeley and UC San Diego are in College Factual’s top 10 public colleges and universities for 2015-16.
“These schools provide students with the best possible education without the high price tag of a private education,” College Factual said. “Students graduate from these schools with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful in their future careers.”
College Factual bases its ranking on factors such as loan default rates, graduation rates and average starting salaries of graduates.
For students who want to live at home, UC Berkeley and UCLA topped Money magazine’s list of 10 Commuter Colleges That Give You a World-Class Education.
Money said that students at universities on its top 10 list can graduate for $100,000 or less in the typical time it takes to earn a degree.
UC campuses are routinely top-rated in university rankings, including those from Washington Monthly, U.S. News and World Report, and the Department of Education’s College Scorecard.
