The Academic Ranking of World Universities, compiled by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, includes nine University of California campuses among its top-rated schools.
UC Berkeley was ranked fourth, followed by UCLA at 12th; UC San Diego, 15th; UC San Francisco, 18th; UC Santa Barbara, 34th; UC Irvine, 45th; and UC Davis, 47th. UC Riverside and UC Santa Cruz were included in the list's 101-150 group.
