In just under three months, UC advocates emailed and called their representatives more than 3,100 times urging their support for the bill.
If signed into law, this legislation would allow Dreamers and recipients of Temporary Protected Status and Deferred Enforced Departure protections – including thousands who currently attend or have graduated from the University of California – to earn lawful permanent residence and eventually U.S. citizenship.
UC is committed to providing resources and creating a supportive environment for undocumented members of the UC community at each campus, and will continue to call on Congress to pass bipartisan legislation that provides a permanent solution for these immigrants – one that allows them to continue to live, work and serve the only country most of them know as home.
If you have not already, please sign up to be a UC advocate – and urge your friends to do so too – so you can join our Senate efforts to protect Dreamers and recipients of TPS and DED.
